Last summer we went on a Crosby family vacation and met up with Sam's mother's side of the family in Bluffton, SC. I recommend that area of the U.S. to anyone looking for a relaxing trip. There is just something about the areas of crowded tall oak trees full of moss that sway in the coastal breeze that gets me every time. Just thinking about it right now makes me wish I was in a hammock with a good book. Ah, vacations!
Back to my original thought. While we were in Bluffton we rented bikes and these wonderful kid carts.
Notice in the picture above that Rebekah's taking her shoes off and then notice the face she gave me in the picture below when I asked where her shoes were. It's almost like she's saying, "Shoes? What shoes? I don't know what you're talking about!" The kid is notorious for taking her shoes off!

You just attach it to the bike and the fun can begin. Rebekah LOVES riding in the cart and says that she is "driving the bike".
It rained last Saturday. One minute it was beautiful and sunny and the next it looked like it was late into the night. We had rain, wind, and hail. The sky turned green and in 10 minutes it was over. That's my kind of storm, 10 minutes and it's done!
Rebekah has started standing on the back of the love seat to look out the window. I, of course, am freaked out by this and think she will surely break her arm if she falls off.
My newest piece of advice: Don't give children pens to color on the grocery list when you're shopping or this could be the result:
"Why did you give a 2 year old a pen?" you might ask. Well, because in the middle of the store she stood up in the cart, pulled her skirt off, and squealed with excitement calling the attention of everyone in the produce section to her skirt less little body.
After our shopping trip we decided that we would head to the Dairy Kastle (yes, Kastle with a "K") and we talked our friends Riley, Laurel, and Libby into meeting us. Dairy Kastle is this AMAZING little soft serve ice cream shop just down the road that is only open during the summer. Everything they serve is so good, there's always huge portions, and best of all... IT'S CHEAP!
We kicked the year off with a bang: A fireman's special for Sam and a flurry for me and Rebekah (we don't always eat that much!).
This is Libby's please feed me, little bird face:
After all that eating I needed a walk around the block.
We ran into our friend, Allison, and his little girl, Sophia, playing Frisbee.
Next thing we knew, Rebekah took off and was hunting these ladies down just to say, "HI!"
She also chased this little girl around and then told her where to ride her bike.
Isn't Sophia so adorable?! I totally remember having bows like this!
This is the line as we were leaving. It looks like this almost every night but it won't stop us from going many more times until the Fall.
Hope you enjoy your weekend!
Lindsay
